LG also invited a number of media representatives from the Levant (Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq) to attend the press conference and Music Festival.

Attending the press conference were General Manager of LG Mobile in the Levant, Mr. Simon Kim, Sales Manager of LG Mobile in the Levant, Mr. Iyad Al Dhaher, General Manager of LG Electronics Beirut office, Mr. Elie Chehade, and Lebanese singers, Wael Kfouri and Yara.

It is worth noting that, last October in Dubai, LG signed a partnership agreement with renowned Arab singer Wael Kfoury who stunned the world with his romantic songs as LGE's Brand Ambassador for Mobile Phones in the MEA region. LG consequently launched the Wael Kfoury Collection of LG mobile phones which included the hit phone KF-510.

LG recently announced the two new additions to the Wael Kfoury Collection; KM335 and GM200. The launch coincided with an enticing campaign promoting the new mobile phone series, whereby anyone buying the LG KM335 and GM200 from LG's dealers in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon throughout June was granted the chance to win two tickets to the "LG Mobile Phone Music Festival" in Beirut.

Furthermore, LG announced the successful outcome of this campaign, at the press conference, and expressed pleasure at having witnessed the consumers' positive and active reaction.

Famous Lebanese pop singer Wael Kfoury said in the press conference:

"I believe that the new mobile will be a huge hit with my fans in Lebanon. And one of the many reasons I like to partner with LG is because they always bring out what's right for the time and the trends."

Managing Director of LG Electronics Levant, Mr. Kevin Cha, stressed the Company's strategic interest in the Levant is to market its mobile phones and to reiterate LG's contentment with the partnership with Kfoury.

He said: "Wael Kfoury perfectly exemplifies the young, fashionable and refreshing consumer that LG is targeting in the mobile segment and breathes a refreshing feel to the brand. At the same time, we believe that he truly epitomizes our culture of innovation and pursuit of excellence".

He also said: "LG's latest campaign concept has stemmed from deep market insight and attentiveness to consumer needs. We believe that every LG mobile phone, with its stylized looks and innovative technology, is an icon in its own right. Our latest collection is a brilliant mix of world-class communications technology and sophisticated design, which I am confident, will appeal to the fashion-conscious, tech-savvy consumers in Levant".

At the press conference, LG also announced the results of the online competition, "Share Your Words," on najmlg.maktoob.com in collaboration with pioneering Arab website Maktoob.com. With this daring competition, the Company provided a platform for gifted youth and music lovers, who want to show their creativity and artistic talent. LG and Wael Kfoury honored Lebanese Ola Matar who won the competition's grand prize, whereby Wael Kfoury will sing and produce the lyrics her song, "Hallat Hub," with music written by famous composer, Sameer Sfeir.

The concert took place at the Habtoor Grand Hotel - Beirut, where both stars - Wael Kfoury and Yara performed in front of hundreds of fans all night long.
