Al Mazaya has also visited a number of clinics in London and the United States to get acquainted with the latest medical specialties, specifically those currently unavailable in Kuwait, including a pathology clinic, where diseases are identified and diagnosed at an early stage, and a dietetics clinic.
In addition, the company has announced that it has started to receive rental submissions for the clinics, as well as for other facilities in the project, such as the x-ray center, the pharmacy and the boutique clinic. The company is currently studying these applications in cooperation with Delta Med Co., a firm offering specialized consultancy services to the healthcare sector.
Eng. Salwa Malhas, Executive Vice President of Al Mazaya Holding, said:
"We are happy with the progress made at Clover Clinic. From the initial project preparation to the final finishing of the clinics, these facilities are on par with the highest healthcare and safety standards."
"Clover Clinic is an integral project, and the first of its kind in Kuwait. The project was originally designed to fulfill the need for specialized medical and healthcare facilities run by highly experienced medical staff, as Kuwait lacks such healthcare projects. In addition to multi-sized specialized clinics, Clover Clinic will also sport an x-ray center, a pharmacy and a boutique clinic, which will provide services for aesthetic medicine while maintaining complete privacy by providing separate entryways for visitors," Eng. Salwa added.
Malhas went on to say that Al Mazaya Holding has previously been approached by international medical companies seeking affiliation with Clover Clinic, which not only adds value, but also raises the international reputation of the project.
She added that Al Mazaya is currently reviewing these requests, and that the company will respond in the near future after the careful study of available candidates.
The prestige of having a specialized medical company undertake certain management tasks for Clover Clinic is in line with Al Mazaya's aim of setting the standard of quality design and finishing with Clover Clinic, as it has done in other areas of its business.
Clover Clinic is made up of 19 floors of 600 square meters each, along with additional multi-sized clinics of 200, 300 and 600 square meters respectively. An additional 7-storey facility flanking the main building is specified for boutique clinic services, with 130 square meters allotted for each floor.
Furthermore, it boasts several medical laboratories, an x-ray center, a physical therapy center, a specialized pharmacy located on the ground floor, and a basement that holds 200 cars. Clover Clinic will also provide a number of services for visitors, such as valet parking, cafes, etc.
Al Mazaya has signed a contract for the development of the Clover Clinic complex with the B.O.T system, and aims to develop Clover as a trademark that may be used throughout the Gulf region. The total cost of the project is estimated to reach KD7m, with returns of 15-20% expected.
