RSA Insurance has recently announced the promotion of Karl Gray as Regional Head of Personal Lines - Middle East and Hayden Seach as Regional Head of Commercial Lines - Middle East, to further strengthen the company's position as the leading international insurer in the region.

Karl Gray will drive the development and strategy of the company's Personal Lines business across the Middle East. Gray joined RSA in 2007 and has been responsible for developing RSA's highly successful Personal Lines proposition in the UAE.

He was previously the Head of Norwich Union's Personal Lines business in the Middle East (acquired by AXA in 2005) and prior to this worked for Norwich Union in the UK.

Presently the Regional Manager for RSA's Asia and Middle East multinational business, Seach joined RSA a year ago from the wholesale broking house Glencairn HRH, prior to which he spent nine years with AIG leading their Major Risks division in South Africa. In his new role Hayden will lead RSA's Commercial Lines business throughout the Middle East.

Commenting on the new management roles, Paul Holmes, CEO, RSA Middle East, said:
"The creation of these two new senior regional positions reflects RSA's strategic focus on developing both Personal and Commercial lines business across the Middle East region."

Winner of the Middle East Insurer of the Year award for three consecutive years, RSA's plans for 2009 aim to strengthen its position as a preferred insurer among both individual and commercial customers.
