Taqa ratings withdrawn

  • United Arab Emirates: Thursday, July 09 - 2009 at 10:47

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has said that at Taqa's request, it has withdrawn its ratings on Abu Dhabi National Energy Co and on the company's outstanding debt. S&P had placed Taqa's ratings on CreditWatch with negative implications on June 30, 2009, following the introduction of its revised methodology for the evaluation of government-related entities. The rating agency has said that due to the lack of available information, it is unable to resolve the CreditWatch placement prior to the withdrawal.
