Matt started his career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 1996 as Banquet Supervisor and Front Office GSA in the Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast Resort, Australia. He then transferred to the Sheraton Park Tower Hotel in London as Assistant Manager. Matt moved home to Australia in 2002 and worked at the Westin Sydney and more recently the Westin Melbourne as Front Office and Service Express Manager.
Prior to his appointment at the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort, Matt was the Front Office Manager at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi and Westin Mina Seyahi Dubai, a position he held since January 2007.
In this new capacity, Matt will take a leading role in positively representing the hotel with guests, reinforcing a customer focused approach to hotel operations and harnessing guest satisfaction.
