Alfa installs 116 new radio stations and expands 283 pre-based stations since February 2009

Alfa, the mobile operator, managed by Orascom Telecom announced that it is keeping on strengthening its network all over Lebanon by installing 13 new Radio Stations since the 23rd of June 2009.

116 Stations have been installed progressively in the different regions and several update operations have been implemented in addition to the expansion of 283 pre-based Stations, since February 2009, in order to enhance the quality of transmission, improve the network coverage and increase its capacity to support the subscribers' traffic and growth.

In compliance with this strategy, the company has installed the new Stations as follows:

• 1 Radio Station in Kornet shehwan
• 1 Radio Station in Nahr Ibrahim
• 1 Radio Station in Beino (Aakar region)
• 1 Radio Station in Lehfed (Jbeil region)
• 1 Radio Station in Zgharta
• 1 Radio Station in Mansourieh
• 1 Radio Station in Ain EL Delbeh (Kesrouan region)
• 1 Radio Station in Kfarzebian
• 1 Radio Station in Nahle (Bekaa region)
• 1 Radio Station in Yanta (West Bekaa region)
• 1 Radio Station in Beirut Southern Suburb
• 1 Radio Station in Tarik Jdide (Beirut)
• 1 Radio Station in Saida

It's worth mentioning that Alfa has been managed by "Orascom Telecom Holding" (OTH) since February 2009. Orascom Telecom is the leading mobile operator in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Orascom Telecom counts over 80m subscribers.
