DTCM mirrors Dubai's tourism infrastructure and amenities at MITT 2003

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) with a strong team of 52 co-participants will highlight Dubai's tourism infrastructure at the 10th Moscow International Travel and Tourism Exhibition 2003 (MITT) from 26th -29th March.
He said that Dubai has always regarded Russia and CIS states as an impressive market, yielding positive results. "The fact that we are leading a team of 52 co-participant, indicates the interest and keenness of Dubai in utilizing the market potential of Russia to the maximum. This is the highest number of representation from Dubai since the inception of the event in 1994. Our business as usual approach sends the strong message across the industry and reaffirmed our seriousness in promoting Dubai," detailed Mr. Ahli.
Mr. Ahli stated that Dubai gains extensively by participating in the MITT. " It not only helps us to maintain existing business contacts but also leads to establishing new ones and in receiving latest and up-to date market information and trends," he added.
Mr. Ahli noted that the Dubai stand will be showcasing the emirate's rich past as well as its vibrant present, and will provide visitors complete information covering all their needs. " The DTCM stand will be incorporating traditional design concepts, equipped with top of the line facilities and modernised and latest infrastructure of the emirate, which can be availed by visitors, " he said.
Russian hotel establishment guest have recorded a sharp increase. In the year 2002 there has been an increase of 21.11 per cent as the number of hotel establishment guests from Russia grew to 222,269 from 183,520 in 2001.
There was also a pre-fair meeting conducted recently at the DTCM's Head Office chaired by Mr. Ahli and DTCM Deputy Manager Overseas Promotions, Abdulla Al Falasi, where the marketing plan for MITT was formulated and finalized.
