CGC introduces Nokia N97 in Qatar

The flagship of the Nseries range of Nokia phones, introduced in the country by Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC), the Nokia partner for Qatar, is equipped with a massive 32GB of internal memory and a 5 Megapixel Carl Zeiss camera, Bluetooth and GPS.

Nokia N97 features an ultra-bright 3.5 inch touchscreen as well as a full QWERTY keyboard, and provides an 'always open' window to social networking sites and other favorite Internet destinations on a personalizable home screen in the form of 'widgets.' The hi-tech Nokia phone's most distinguishable design feature is its horizontal tilt-slide form factor, with a 35-degree screen tilt making it easier to view the phone's display and reducing glare significantly.

There are a number of other outstanding features in the phone such as its compact size, shortcut keys on the side, the sliding camera cover that protects the lens and even getting the balance just right so that the phone is comfortable to hold.

So, the emotional connection is massive, added Mahajan.

Nokia N97 also has direct access to the huge catalogue of music in the Nokia Music Store. It is Nokia's first device to feature a personalizable home screen, which can be customized with a range of widgets which bring live information directly to the device.

These widgets include key social networking destinations like Facebook and Hi5, news services like the Associated Press, Bloomberg and Reuters, as well as shopping and weather information. N97 is the first device to be equipped with the Ovi Store, which offers easy access to applications, games, videos, podcasts, productivity tools, web and location-based services. Ovi Store has paid and free content from a range of global and local content providers and developers, including Paramount Pictures, Facebook and Qik, as well as a selection of Twitter applications.
