Conducted by Capstone Consulting, the training sessions covered two major courses on "Intrapreneurship for Business Success" and "Finance for Non-Financial Managers".

The first session on "Intrapreneurship for Business Success" trained business owners and managers in utilizing and adapting a dynamic entrepreneurial mindset to foster creativity and innovation among employees. Managing and motivating a top team of employees were the focal areas of this training session.

The second session on "Finance for Non-Financial Managers" trained participants in interpreting and analysing financial statements. Business owners and managers learned to plan strategically the profitability of their businesses. The training helped participants without a financial background to acquire tools that will improve management skills and business planning capabilities.

Dr Belaid Rettab, Senior Executive Director, Economic Research and Sustainable Business Development Sector, Dubai Chamber said:

"The Business Development Department was established to foster the growth and sustainability of businesses in Dubai. To this end, the Department provides support services in awareness-raising, capacity building, and informational products and tools to the business community. It also hosts seminars, roundtables, and training workshops for the Chamber's members regularly. This first summer intensive training session gave participants the opportunity to gain knowledge and practical experience to become more focused, innovative and creative within their organization."

Added Amer Qureshi, Managing Director, Capstone Consulting, "We are delighted to be working with Dubai Chamber in delivering Financial and HR training to their members. Businesses in Dubai need access to practical and relevant training in these areas, and we have been pleased by the positive response over the course of the three days training sessions. It is important that businesses continue to invest in training and development of their staff despite the slowdown in global economy, so that when the economy recovers, they will be in a stronger position to take advantage of the opportunities that arise."
