The course aims to provide girls with the necessary skills and abilities to create a strong leading character that will enable them to manage small projects.

Various topics were discussed at the workshop, including the proposed project name, project budget and feasibility, the markets in which the project will be presented and the target consumers, price and quality of rival products, identifying strengths and weaknesses of submitted projects, the process of project development, and enhancing presentation skills in front of an audience to boost self-confidence and eliminate fear of failure.

Procedures related to licenses, registration and legal affairs were also discussed at the workshop, in addition to project placement near markets or residential areas, product costs and revenues compared to rival products, marketing procedures and the types of companies who could affect the future of projects, including profitable companies, losing companies and balanced companies with no profit or loss.

H.E. Ahmed Al Midfa', Chairman of Ruwad Establishment, said:

"The workshop has been a defining factor in determining the ambition and visions of participants; we were really surprised to see how much enthusiasm and potential talent our girls possess, and we have expressed our admiration by providing unique and innovative ideas and concepts to some of the submitted projects, which sport an entirely new revelation in small projects never-before-seen in the country."

"We are always seeking to support new talents and skills, either through training programs or through material and moral support. We're seeing a mass development process that targets all sectors, but at Ruwad we focus on young talents that build the future on a scientific and well thought-out basis to create a prosperous future.
"To achieve this future for our young talent, commitment and cooperation with related authorities are required. We thank the General Management of Child and Girl Centers for providing ambitious girls with the opportunity to express their talents through this project, which will see them gain managerial and leadership experiences and skills," added Al Midfa'.

Ms. Ihsan Musbih Al Suwaidi, General Manager of Children and Girls Centers, the main sponsor and supporter of this project, said: "Our strategic goal for this project was to create the model Emirati girl. Through the project's three stages (change, creativity and productivity) we were able to enhance the skills of girls in the center, develop their personalities to be able to face their societies with full confidence, and enhance lifestyle skills such as arts and culture. Through the series of training programs, we found many girls with potential skill and talent that only needed some measure of support to surface.

"In this time of financial crisis we realize that every effort is needed to transform these young talents from consumers to producers. So, we have employed workshops and specialists to help thse girls release their skills and talents, and craft them on a scientific and well thought-out basis. After careful examination and evaluation of participating girls, we were able to choose potential talents based on specific standards, in cooperation with Ruwad Establishment, which we thank greatly for providing the girls with the necessary training and studies concerning project's profit-loss feasibility. We'll be launching additional projects, God willing, with the support of Ruwad Establishment," she added.

She added: "The Children and Girls Centers are focused on one goal; to continue training programs and courses in cooperation with Ruwad Establishment in order to graduate 60 girls each year, under wise directives from H.H. Sheikha Jawahir Al Qassimi."
