The long term goal and mission of Real Dreams Egypt is to foster a culture of youth entrepreneurship in Egypt and to improve prospects for employment and income generation for the thousands of young Egyptian men and women expected to enter the job market over the coming years. The program will target over 2,500 students and out-of-school youth."

The Samsung Real Dreams Awards is part of Samsung's CSR initiative Samsung 'Real Dreams' program. Samsung 'Real Dreams' program aims to increase economic activity in the African region by promoting job skills and preparing young people for successful, long-term careers.

The program is supported by a grant from Samsung and is being implemented by local partner organizations in each country. In Egypt, Nahdet El Mahrousa is the program local partner.

"We are extremely happy to offer our support to Egyptian university students seeking to enhance their education. Samsung is committed to providing education and employment opportunities for Egyptian youth and the Samsung Real Dreams Awards will give them the opportunity to showcase their skills and provide them with financial means to help them jump start their careers," said Mr. Duke Park, General Manager Cairo Branch.

The Samsung Real Dreams Award application process is now open to all students at university in their final year, majoring in Engineering, Science and Agriculture.

Students can apply at Ain Shams, Fayoum and Cairo University as well as youth centers in Menya and Ain Al Sira, where they have to pick up the proposal template. This will provide students with the appropriate information to start their projects.

Awareness lectures have been held on site to explain the various components of the application process. The 2-hour lectures will be split into two sections: the first part will introduce the Samsung Young Innovators partners, develop on the awards as well as the rules and regulations; while the second part of the lecture will focus on proposal writing for Research and Development. This will help encourage students and give them a firm understanding of the awards.
