DTCM Manager Overseas Promotions, Ibrahim Ahli called the roadshow a success. "It was an eventful occasion as staging roadshows has always been one of the integral strategies of the department to promote Dubai as an all round destination," said Mr. Ahli.

He felt that roadshows give optimum exposure and popularity to the participating destinations. Such activities send a prompt and undivided message to the target customers. "Roadshows score advantage over exhibitions as in the former, we are the sole destination staging the event. This gives us maximum exposure. In exhibitions on the other hand, we are one of the participants thus the publicity is divided among the participating destinations,' detailed Mr. Ahli.

Mr. Ahli stated the event was attended by about 85 tour operators who were keen to know more about the destination and showed a lot of interest in promoting Dubai: "There are 32 Swedish tour operators promoting Dubai in their itinerary".

Besides, Mr. Ahli, DTCM Executive Overseas Promotion Saleh Al Geziry also represented the department in the roadshow.
