Abu Dhabi Customs introduces high tech security systems at strategic checkpoints

Abu Dhabi Customs is maintaining its ongoing efforts to boost the performance of customs checkpoints to facilitate import/ export procedures whilst ensuring maximum security.

In line with this objective, and under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Department of Finance, the Abu Dhabi Customs Administration announced two agreements with leading providers of innovative security systems and screening solutions.

The first agreement is with the American Science and Engineering, Inc. to introduce multiple Z Portal X-ray screening systems at strategic border checkpoints in Abu Dhabi, and the second is with Rapiscan Systems to install security systems in Abu Dhabi Airport.
