Air France offers new service to Africa/Middle East network

  • PRESS RELEASE

When it launched its Reservations Operations Centre, Air France became the first European airline to implement a specific service dedicated to informing passengers in the case of flight irregularities.

Recently extended to the Africa / Middle East network, this service has proved to be a great success with Air France customers. The ROC intervenes rapidly following an irregularity, and offers passengers immediate solutions, working every day of the year from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

This makes air travel easier for Air France passengers affected by operating irregularities arising between three days and four hours before the initial flight departure time.

Since summer 2002 the ROC has been operating 24 hours a day, enabling its services to be extended to all Air France operated flights worldwide. The ROC also handles AF flights franchised by BritAir, City Jet and Régional.

In order to optimize this service, the ROC must be able to contact all customers rapidly before departure and at each of their stopover points. It is therefore essential for customers to give all their contact numbers when they book, and most importantly their cell-phone number.

The ROC informs frequent flyers before others. Fréquence Plus members can now update or fill in their permanent contact numbers at www.airfrance.com.
