The visit was part of an initiative to secure a role for desalination of sea water to Alba and meet company officials who are involved in safety and the environmental matters.
"This exchange of experience and expertise between the private and public sectors will provide benefit to both parties, and will strengthen the foundation for continued and successful co-operation. Alba has had rich experience in promoting safety and preserving the environment, and this will prove useful in developing a safe process for water desalination,"
remarked Mr Al Murabati.
The Acting Director of Security and Safety Service Adel Ali Salman added that the exchange of experiences has been going on for many years, and that the company has a tremendous track record in the field of health, safety and environment.
"It is this experience that contributed substantially to our discussions and in understanding the latest technologies that can be utilised in deriving maximum advantage. We looked at ways of working together in strengthening safety measures and in setting up programs that would help develop competencies in the various departments and sections.
Alba has consistently maintained a high track record for safety and continues to enforce strict environmental guidelines and has surpassed production targets set for the year. It supports numerous community oriented programmes and social activities that have underlined its status as one of Bahrain's leading industrial organisations that remains fully committed to its corporate social responsibility.
