After graduating from the College of the North Atlantic with a diploma in Accounting, Rahma Al Sayegh joined the Payments and Cash Management department as a Client Services Officer.
Rahma completed two internships in January 2008 and June 2008 within the Human Resources and Credit Risk Management departments. She distinguished herself as a hardworking and committed individual and based on her achievement was offered a scholarship from HSBC to complete her studies. After successfully completing her diploma in June this year, full time employment with HSBC was the obvious next step for Rahma.
"My working experience at HSBC has only been positive and rewarding. I am looking forward to an exciting career with the world's local bank,"
said Rahma.
The internship programme helps young students identify what suits, motivates and inspires them. This year HSBC has successfully provided opportunities for 25 Qatari students; including the scholarship students and nominations received from the Ministry of Labour and Education institutes; local and overseas.
HSBC invests great effort into the development of local young talent and have done groundbreaking work in identifying opportunities for students and young graduates to gain professional experience in the working environment. The success of the initiatives is measured in the increasing numbers of Qatari employees at HSBC.
"HSBC is committed to the development of young nationals and we will continue to be innovative in our approach to identify and support them. We wish Rahma all the best with her new career," said Abdul Hakeem Mostafawi, CEO of HSBC in Qatar.
HSBC offers Internships, Scholarships, Executive Training programmes and in-service training programmes to all employees and young students who qualify.
