Dubai to host outdoor adventure extravaganza

Dubai World Trade Centre is proud to announce 'Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009,' an outdoor adventure and sporting event for all ages that promotes a full scope of Middle Eastern adventure activities, along with the latest trendsetting sports apparel, to a regional audience.

To be held from 19-21 November 2009 at Dubai Festival City, Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009 will include representatives from the UAE and International major sporting events, adventure travel operators and sporting associations.

Outdoor equipment manufacturers, all-terrain vehicle producers and sports experts, including skateboarding, scuba diving and sea fishing, will all be on hand to advise and guide Outdoor Adventure Dubai visitors.

Leading suppliers already on board include Coleman, Hobby Centre, Malaysian Tourism Board, Salomom, Ultimate Heli and many more.

The event will offer families, sports lovers, and outdoor adventurers an all-in-one show covering the best-in-class products and services in the market today. Companies will also be able to share their latest ideas with a captive audience of outdoor adventure enthusiasts."

An estimated 10,000 public visitors will be able to try out the newest sports equipment and even test drive the latest 4X4 SUVs on a specially designed course. Visitors can also check out the latest news on adventure travel holidays and eco-friendly pursuits or take part in a range of seminars including desert driving, outdoor cooking and water sport safety tips.

Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009 is supported by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, to further position the UAE as a leading global destination for adventure tourism.

Emerging as the region's capital for sporting events, the United Arab Emirates is steadily building sports facilities and promoting outdoor or adventure sports, providing the perfect direct platform for Outdoor Adventure Dubai 2009. More than 150 recreation, adventure and tourism companies will be on hand to promote outdoor adventure travel holidays to the region's consumers.

Time Out Dubai has also been named as the Official Magazine for the show providing updates and advanced previews concerning all aspects of the event.
