For the first time in Kuwait, a text messaging service that is related to tasks within the scope of the Ministry of Interior will be launched for utilization by Viva customers. Customers will be able to receive reminders to renew official papers and documents and residence visas, report traffic violations and fines and security instructions and information, etc. Viva customers can benefit from this service soon after the subscription form is filled (available at all company branches).
Al-Badran added that the new service will include four different sections: alerting services, by way of official papers expiry dates reminders, follow-up service to advice the expiry of official papers, notification services for traffic tickets and any similar fines and penalties and awareness services via general security statements and circulars distributed for public safety. This service will be free of charge.
Al-Badran pointed out that the new service will help ease off to a great extent the pressure on the MOI and significantly reduce peak hours and seasonal line-ups. Above all it elevates the burden off Viva customers usually spent to complete their jobs with ease and effort free. It saves time, effort and money for many members of the public who often pay additional delay penalties due to failure to complete the renewals on time.
Al-Badran further stressed Viva's interest to provide assistance and support to the Ministry of Interior and work hand in hand to uplift the level of public security awareness by distributing security circulars and much needed instructions and guidelines.
Al-Badran was quoted for saying:
"By providing this service, the Kuwait Telecommunications Company, Viva, will be the first national telecommunications company that concludes a contract with the Ministry of Interior for offering this service to the public."
Al-Badran expressed his great gratitude and appreciation for the Ministry of Interior's officials and their cooperation and support given to this vital project which yields services of high importance to a large portion of the public.
