Google, Int@j raising efforts to develop ICT sub- sectors in Jordan

In line with Int@j efforts in developing the ICT sector in the Kingdom, the association has raised the priority targeted to develop the ICT sub- sectors by providing a workshop conducted by Mr. Husni Khaffash, the Country Business Development Manager for Google, which addressed the needs and challenges that local content providers are facing in order to develop the business environment they operate in.
The main topic addressed was Business Capacity Building, which is a key item that will help content providers push their existing business into structured revenue generators, looking forward to further growth and expansion.
Int@j, the Information Technology Association of Jordan has been demonstrating efforts in developing the ICT sector in the Kingdom. Over the last few months, Int@j has successfully delivered a set of services tailored to add value and benefit a specific segment of its members based on their needs.
One of the sub- sectors defined as the "content providers" sector has become a rising sector of interest to Int@j, the government, and the ICT sector as a whole. They are local companies adopting diverse technologies to present online Arabic/ English content to serve diversified customer segments and needs; whether entertainment, news, e-mail, mobile, or media.
Efforts into developing the ICT sector, and sub sectors in Jordan is likely to increase exposure to more investment opportunities to help local content providers compete on a regional and international level.
