DMI adopts new and advanced software to enhance work efficiency and performance

His Excellency Ahmad Abdulla Al Shaikh, Director of the Media Office, Board Member and Managing Director of DMI, and Media Escort to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, commissioned the internal integration of the technology, making DMI the first media entity in the Middle East to adopt such an advanced communications software.

The system, which has helped reinforce DMI's technical infrastructure, was officially adopted on 21 July, 2009.

This initiative comes within the framework of DMI's continuous endeavour to seek avenues that will eventually optimize the quality of their offerings to a widespread viewership base across the Middle East. It also fulfills their mandate to create a motivating work environment that will catalyze creativity among the DMI staff.

The project was implemented in three phases, the first of which commenced in 2008. The second, which was accomplished recently, allows employees to access the DMI server at any time and from any place in the world.

A dedicated team is currently working on the third phase of the project that is poised to create a revolution in the world of broadcast media. The software will enable DMI to raise the bar on its broadcasting quality even while cascading a spectrum of other advantages to holistically improve the experience of DMI's region-wide viewers.

In the run to the implementation of the programming software, DMI conducted an orientation session for its employees that was supervised by a group of specialized programmers. While introducing DMI employees to the system's user-friendly features and unlimited potential, it also familiarized them with the right steps to adopt the programme.

The launch of the new system validates DMI's commitment to ensuring the optimum convenience of its human capital, which it considers its topmost asset. DMI constantly works towards the development of its employees' professional capacities as part of its mission to emerge the employer of choice to some of the region's most well-qualified media professionals.
