W Doha appoints new managers for Beverage and Food and Crystal Lounge

W Doha, the fastest growing luxury hotel brand in the world has just announced the appointment of Antoine Pravin as its new Director of Beverage and Food and Bastien Giannetti as Manager of its Crystal Lounge.

Antoine Pravin the new W Doha Beverage and Food Director boasts a wealth of experience across Asia, Europe and the Middle East in leading international hospitality groups.

He has worked in Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Greece and most recently in Egypt where he held a similar position at the Conrad Cairo Hotel and Casino. Not only has his work given him experience in the Beverage and Food sectors, but also in marketing, finance, HR, logistics planning and hospitality.

Talking about his appointment, Pravin - who gained his degree in hotel and restaurant management at the Institut Vatel in Paris - said he was honoured to have been chosen to head up this division in W Doha's new development.

"The hotel complex features five world-class restaurants, lounges and cafes that will be accessible to all residents and tourists alike. Including Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Market - an amalgamation of celebrated restaurants Market in Paris and Mercer Kitchen in New York; Spice Market, inspired by the streets of Southeast Asia; La Maison Du Caviar with its chic French bistro and exquisite caviar; the Crystal Lounge with its trendy ambience where the city's jet set can savour whimsical bites and drinks while grooving to the world's trendiest beats and music; and the Wahm Lounge with its funky, pool-side outdoor bar and 22 exclusive cabanas with their own lighting and sound systems in which guests can enjoy a delectable selection of snacks and Turkish and Lebanese mezze," he said.

While the new Crystal Lounge Manager, Bastien Giannetti's eight years of hotel, food and beverage and managerial experience includes postings as diverse as the Sofitel Plaza in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City (where he was Assistant F&B Director), Disneyland's Newport Bay in Paris (Assistant Manager), Le Noir-Singapore, where he was General Manager and most recently at the Hu,u Bar in Bali where he held a similar position.

Bastien Giannetti will head up a 22-man team in the Lounge, upholding W's high service standards and promoting dynamic events, whilst also building and maintaining public relations and marketing initiatives for the Crystal Lounge itself.

Speaking of his appointment, Giannetti enthused about the concept behind the Crystal Lounge - something that is new to the Gulf.

"I believe my experiences in both Singapore and Bali will stand me in good stead, as I will be able to draw on much of what we achieved there and build on that to offer W's guests the best in entertainment to be found anywhere in and around Doha in an absolutely stunning, elegant and modern environment," he said.
