Land transactions in Dubai top Dhs547.43m

The total value of land transactions in Dubai today peaked at Dhs547.43m, of which sales exceeded Dhs343.59m.
A total of 18 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the day, the most valuable of which was a plot in Jabal Ali that was sold for Dhs28.807m. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Jabal Ali acquired for the sum of Dhs28.807m and another in Jabal Ali for Dhs28.807m.
The Al Ruwayyah area was the most active in terms of the day's sales, with some 5 transactions. Jabal Ali followed it with 5 sales.
During the period, Jabal Ali recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs144.04m, followed by the Al Ruwayyah area, Dhs34.94m, and Naif area, Dhs16m.
The biggest area sold was the 28862 sq ft in the Al Ruwayyah area, which went for Dhs8.44m. A 28851 sq ft plot in the Al Ruwayyah Area was acquired for Dhs6.56m, while 27371 sq ft of Al Ruwayyah was disposed of for Dhs6.71m.
During the period under review 20 mortgages worth Dhs162.28m were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs116m for an area at Dubai International Airport. There was another for Dhs20m on an area in Nad Al Shiba.
Apartments and villas in freehold areas witnessed the registration of 93 sales transaction out of which 88 were for apartments for a total of Dhs81.39m and 5 for villas at a total sum of Dhs6.54m.
A total of 15 mortgages for Dhs21.14m were registered on villas and apartments
