H.E. Dr. Mariam Al Shenasi, adviser of H.E. Minister of the Environment and Water and the Executive Director for Technical Affairs in the Ministry, has meet Dubai Quality Group's delegation chaired by Dr. Wafi Dawood, Chairman of the Group, and Mr. Abdul Qader Obaid Ali, Honorary member of the board of directors and Chairman of the Sub-Group of Arab ideas.
Dr. Al Shenasi has been granted the investor partner certificate on behalf of H.E. the Minister from Dr. Dawood. The investor partner certificate is considered the highest certificate in the group.
Dr. Dawood emphasized on the importance of the agreement with the Ministry as it is one of the leading organizations concerned with the implementation of quality and excellence standards.
He said, "The Ministry has worked over the past few years to embrace the concepts of organizational excellence by following best administrative and professional practices in its work. We, in turn, appreciate its efforts in advancing sustainable development adopted by the Government of Dubai."
He added, "We discussed with the Ministry the mechanisms of business and joint cooperation which will be channeled directly in increasing the level of quality and excellence in various business sectors. The group will submit the Ministry with many training programs and workshops in order to achieve its strategic goals and enable them to actively participate in HH Sheikh Khalifa Governmental Excellence program and awards organized by Dubai Quality Group; Emirates energy award, in addition to the implementation of comprehensive quality management system through renewing the ISO of environmental management system 14001:2004 ISO."
On her part, H.E. Dr. Al Shenasi, said:
"This agreement comes in the Ministry and the Organizational Excellence Unit's efforts to promote business and to adopt the concepts of quality and organizational excellence. The Ministry is also seeking to develop its performance by holding standard comparisons and strengthen strategic partnerships with environment and water excellence's organizations."
She added, "This partnership allows the staff of the Ministry to benefit from the services provided by the group in the area of organizational support and the provision of various consultations to develop the Ministry's practical and administrative capacity in accordance to quality standards. In addition, this strategic partnership provides the opportunity for the Ministry's staff to participate an benefit from the most advanced sub-groups in the country."
This agreement will enable the Ministry to use the facilities available in the group's library and enhance communication opportunities between the Ministry and members of the group through meetings and exchanging ideas, information and expertise which will improve the level of services provided by the Ministry and contribute in increasing customer satisfaction, consequently, access to organizational excellence which is desired by the group that is considered one of its patrons in the business community.
