The standout performer was the BMW 5 Series with 244 unit sales over the first two quarters of 2009. This model remained a popular choice, recognized for its wide range of innovations for enhanced driving dynamics, safety and comfort. The BMW 7 Series and BMW 3 Series also performed strongly with 104 and 86 units sold respectively.
Commenting on the excellent results Mr. Bassel Chehabi, Managing Director of Bahi Motors said:
"The first six months of the year witnessed strong sales growth. This is a special achievement considering the economic climate, one which can be attributed to the quality of our vehicles and the level of service we provide to our customers."
Chehabi added: "We are confident of maintaining our high level of performance in the second half of the year. Many of our models, such as the flagship 7 Series and BMW 5 Series remain very popular, and there is great anticipation for new models."
Chehabi also highlighted the excitement about the arrival of the ActiveHybrid 7 Series model which is due to arrive in the region in 2010. This model is the next step in BMW's EfficientDynamics strategy, which aims to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions and is being implemented across the entire vehicle portfolio.
