The project, which will house 32,000 residents once complete in October 2009, is the [first] purpose built neighbourhood dedicated exclusively to the many thousands of people involved in the vital construction industry of the UAE.

Alongside the first rate accommodation being provided for the future residents, CWRC will deliver many commercial, social and recreational facilities, including hypermarkets, banks, a clinic, and lifestyle services, in this truly unique development.

The project compromises of six accommodation clusters, three main kitchens and seventeen dining halls designed around a central facility which forms the heart of the project and stands as the central point of commercial, social and recreational activities. The city is conveniently located 45km from Abu Dhabi, and is available for labourers, technicians and supervisors.

Speaking on today's announcement Mr. Ali M. Al Mansoori, CEO of Al Rayan Investment, said:
"We are delighted with today's announcement, and the news that this vital and unique development is both on track and in high demand. This demonstrates once again our ability to deliver the types of projects the markets need and want, to the standard and timeframes required. The overwhelming interest in space at CWRC proves that not all markets are as affected by the economic downturn, and that attractive business opportunities will always create demand."

The project will be delivered through a series of phases, starting from mid-August 2009, and will be completed in October 2009.

Al Rayan Investment has already started taking the bookings from the companies who are looking for accommodation for their workers with the cooperation of Higher Cooperation For Specialized Economic Zones (Zonescorp).
