Gargash Enterprises unveils all new E-Class Coupe

The new E-Class Coupe follows a 70-year tradition of sporty 2-door Mercedes-Benz coupes and comes just a few months after the successful introduction of the segment-leading new E-Class saloon.

The new Coupe stands out from its competitors with a sleek and sporty design from the radiator grille at the front all the way to the exhaust at the rear. At first glance, car enthusiasts will be fascinated by its sleek curves. Subsequently they will be impressed by the efficiency, features and comfort.

So impressive is the new coupe that readers of the leading German magazine Auto Bild voted the new E-Class Coupe as their top pick in the "Coupe and Cabriolet" category.

On the outside it is fitted with exclusive light-alloy wheels, a striking sporty tail and LED-design tail lights. On the front it has the twin headlamp face design with projection-beam headlights now the signature of the E-Class range.
Initially, two petrol engines will be available.

A six-cylinder E350 Engine with 292 horse power, consuming just 8.5 litres per 100km and, for those looking for performance, a V8 E500 engine with 388 horse power consuming 10.9 litres per 100km. In a few months there will also be the very fuel efficient four-cylinder E250 Engine option with 204 horse power.

The E 350 and E 500 models benefit further with a 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission. The transmission is controlled via a steering wheel selector lever and shift paddles.

Mercedes-Benz has always been at the cutting edge of safety technology and the new E-Class Coupe is no exception. There is Attention Assist that detects the onset of drowsiness and can alert the driver preventing him from having a microsleep.

Standard for all E-Class Coupes is also the amazing PRE-Safe system that intervenes in case of an emergency. In the event of an accident the driver and passengers are completely surrounded by protection with: airbags and sidebags for the driver and front passenger, window bags for all seats, and even a kneebag for the driver.

Also fitted standard is the Neck Pro crash responsive head restraints there to help prevent serious neck injuries. As you encounter risky situations when driving you will be glad that your car has ESP: the Electronic Stability Program.

This program enables your car to react with you, to extraordinary conditions. Similarly the car will work with you during an emergency to put extra force into your braking with Brake Assist and of course prevent skidding with ABS: Anti-lock Braking System.

Day to day what you will appreciate most is the extraordinary level of comfort. As soon as you take your seat the car will be assisting you with your seat belt. The ambience boasts a sporty, stylish design with a high-quality look and feel of fine materials.

When it comes to options, the customer can choose the classic elegance interior or the sporty Avantgarde interior.

The backrest angle and seat position is even adjustable electronically. With all this and more you'll be able to get to the important aspect of driving much quicker. Also important for a completely enjoyable weekend drive is the option of having a sun roof.

Much to the delight of the prospective passenger, this vehicle has a dual climate control system, allowing the driver and passenger to determine for themselves what would make them most comfortable.

Additionally the passenger has access to a 12 volt power plug in the glove compartment; now uncharged laptops can be a thing of the past.

Also an aspect of convenience that contributes to safety is a 12 button steering wheel combined with Bluetooth technology; that makes it possible to keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road, while answering a phone call. These buttons also allow for selection of your favourite music with a 6 CD changer at your finger tips or even your library of mp3s.

There is also a built in navigation system, that doubles as an entertainment unit. Also with the added option of a reversing camera you will be alerted to whatever is immediately behind your vehicle. This helps to prevent some very serious potential accidents from occurring. As an optional extra you can even watch TV.

But high levels of technology and modern design are not the only appeal of this master piece. As mentioned earlier it has a respectable heritage.

The original coupe was a horse drawn carriage designed specifically for two passengers. It essentially looked like a traditional carriage cut in two. Even for its time it was considered a real statement to ride in one as compared to the traditional 4 passenger carriage.

The modern automobile saw a repeat of this trend towards a car designed for two as Mercedes-Benz introduced a two-door coupe for the "Stroke 8" in 1968.
