Abu Dhabi Film Commission is a new initiative launched by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage in January 2009 with an objective of assisting the development of the Film and TV industry in Abu Dhabi, nurturing of new talent and contributing to the promotion of Arab culture through film.

Imagenation Abu Dhabi

Imagenation Abu Dhabi develops, finances and produces full-length feature films and digital content for Arabic and global markets. From its base in Abu Dhabi, the company has established partnerships with high-profile, internationally-based producers as well as is supporting Middle East filmmakers and Arabian film productions. H.E. Mohamed Khalaf Al-Mazrouei is the Chairman and Edward Borgerding is the Chief Executive Officer. Imagenation Abu Dhabi's films include the upcoming Shorts, The Way Back, Furry Vengeance, The Crazies and Fair Game.

Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage

The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) is the institution in charge of conserving and promoting the heritage and culture of Abu Dhabi. Established in October 2005 as an authority of the Government of Abu Dhabi, it is administered by a board of directors chaired by H. E. Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan.

The creation of ADACH was a direct result of the implementation of the Abu Dhabi Cultural Heritage Management Strategy, a 5-year strategy prepared by a UNESCO-led team working closely with local experts. The Strategy identified the principal issues affecting the development of Abu Dhabi's culture and heritage and laid down goals for its activities.
