The introduction of the new service in the UAE and Jordan follows the successful launch of Alwanclub.com in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) earlier this year and highlights info2cell.com's commitment to continuously provide subscribers with more value-added services.

Alwanclub.com has been created by info2cell.com as an online platform to preview new product and service offerings, which will help members decide on the items that they want to download and install on their mobile phones. Furthermore, the service complements the Alwan platform that the mobile service application provider launched in 2003; the new platform allows subscribers to get quick online access to information and items like ring tones, wallpapers and Java-based games.

Interested subscribers from the UAE and Jordan can go to the Alwanclub.com website and sign up for membership. After receiving a confirmation SMS from Alwanclub.com, new members can immediately download ring tones, wallpapers and Java games from the wide array of choices being offered in the online facility

Bashar Al Dahabra, founder and CEO of info2cell.com, said,

"We remain steadfast in info2cell.com's commitment to provide subscribers with premium value-added mobile solutions, while simultaneously strengthening our presence in prime growth areas in the MENA region. New products and services such as the Alwanclub.com enable us to cater to specific demands of subscribers and reach out to new niche markets. With the increasing number of mobile users in the region, there is enormous opportunity for growth and innovation in the delivery of services, information and entertainment-based applications."

Alwanclub.com is expected to complement the robust growth of mobile phones in the UAE, which according to a recent study by the Arab Advisors Group has the highest mobile penetration rate in the Middle East. The study further revealed that the UAE witnessed a penetration rate of 198.6% in 2008, which in effect suggests that each UAE resident has two mobile phones.

Recent studies have also shown the significant rise of mobile phone users in Jordan, with the industry growing by 83% to reach 4.8m users in 2007. The growth of mobile phone usage in Jordan was significantly higher compared with internet usage, which recorded a 30% increase to reach 1.2m users in the same period. The telecommunications industry contributes at least 11% to Jordan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Info2cell.com is a leading provider of mobile applications and content in the highly competitive MENA markets. The content provider offers advanced mobile messaging technology to deliver SMS, MMS, WAP, IVR, video, ring-tones, picture messaging, animations and Java games to mobile devices.
