GJU launches Kingdom's first Masters program in Spatial Planning

Representatives from the School of Architecture and Built Environment at German Jordanian University (GJU) officially launched Jordan's first Master of Science (M Sc.) program in Spatial Planning during a ceremony held at the GJU campus yesterday.
The graduate program has been prepared in coordination with TU Dortmund, and offers two streams for specialization; Urban Design and Regeneration, and Implementation Management.
The program is offered as an interdisciplinary field of study that incorporates multi-dimensional perspectives, and uses problem-solving practical approaches to achieve integrated sustainable planning and urban design. Graduates will be fully prepared to contribute to the contemporary built environment at the local, regional and international levels by using the up-to-date theories and hands-on skills they have learned in the program.
Depending on the specialization chosen, students in the program may choose from a wide variety of courses including; Waterfront Development, Urban Transportation, Tourism Planning and Spatial Socio-Economic Development Planning to name a few.
