Kuwait Airways reorganizes its Operation

With the beginning of the military action on Iraq, Kuwait Airways Chairman and Managing Director stated in a press release that Kuwait Airways changed its flight routes to several destinations, to refrain from entering the 'no fly military air space'.

He added that the new flight routes aim at ensuring passenger safety and security and has been implemented on all airlines operating in this area, in accordance to Civil Aviation authorities.

Further, the subsequent negative impact on commercial aviation caused Kuwait Airways to suspend operations to some of the destinations. However effective 29 March 2003, Kuwait Airways is operating to Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, London, Dhaka, Mumbai, Cochin, Colombo, Trivandrum, Bangkok and Manila, after reorganizing the departure and arrival timings to these destinations.

Speaking about the new schedule Mr. Adel Boresli, Director of PR and Information stated that Kuwait Airways has decided to limit operating its aircraft from 0700 hours until sunset effective 29 March 2003, in coordination with the Directorate of Civil Aviation in Kuwait. He further added that present plan is temporary and will be re-evaluated and the necessary measures will be taken accordingly.
