"In a world that has become increasingly dependant on smartphones, consumers should have the proper means to protect their data. At Kaspersky Lab we are committed to keeping the discerning Middle East consumers updated with our most recent technologies, and we bring Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 with confidence of success."
The new version of Kaspersky Mobile Security is unrivalled in terms of cutting-edge technologies, providing an unprecedented level of protection to smartphone users. For instance, SMS Find can locate the exact whereabouts of a lost smartphone (for devices with GPS). After sending an SMS with a password to the lost device, the user receives a link to Google Maps containing its exact coordinates.
The SMS Find module can also be used at any time by parents to help locate their child. The Anti-theft module of Kaspersky Mobile Security 8.0 makes it possible for the owner of a lost or stolen smartphone to remotely block access to a device or completely wipe its memory by simply sending a codeword via SMS to his/her number.
"Smartphones and communicators have seen a surge in popularity and present an increasingly attractive target for cyber criminals," said Sergey Nevstruev, Director of Mobile Solutions Business Unit, Kaspersky Lab Kaspersky Lab showcased earlier this year at World Mobile Congress 2009 its newest products designed to protect end users from a wide range of mobile threats such as malware, spam, the risks linked to the loss or theft of a telephone as well as child access to undesirable content.
