Any blind student in the UAE may request ministry of education books in Braille from the Printing Press for the Blind. High volume Braille book production is now possible with the addition of the B440 SF.
Nattiq Technologies conducted a 3 day training session which was attended by the entire staff of the Printing Press for the Blind in Abu Dhabi. Production using the latest Braille embosser edition is expected to start before the end of September 2009.
Auda Hazeem, Nattiq's C.E.O., said:
"The Braillo 440 SF is one of only a few embossers utilized world-wide which reflects the attention paid to the needs of blind students by decision makers in the UAE. They continue to allocate valuable resources to ensure the efficient delivery of Braille books to blind students to cope with their school work."
The Printing Press for the Blind is funded by Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care, Special Needs & Minors Affairs.
