Bni's BBB+ rating reaffirmed

Bahrain National Insurance (Bni) announced its reaffirmed "BBB+" rating with a "stable" outlook granted by the leading independent credit rating agency Standard & Poor's.

This positive rating reflects the company's strong operating performance, strong capitalization and strong investments. It is indeed a testimony on the company's achievements throughout 2008 and 2009, all of which are aimed towards supporting and elevating the caliber of the local insurance industry.

Mahmood Al Soufi, Chief Executive of BNH commented:

"Our performance over the last year has been outstanding considering the difficult economic conditions. The "BBB+" rating encourages us to continue serving our clients requirements and to continue our strategic investments and prudent underwriting approach."
