He moves from Hilton Fujairah Resort where he was General Manager.

James Farrow, Senior Vice President, Sales, Hilton Hotels, Europe, Middle East & Africa, said:
"We are delighted to welcome Victor in his new role. With his widespread knowledge of the hospitality industry, understanding of the local market, and expertise in sales, business development and operations, Victor will be responsible for driving our sales strategy for all Hilton Family hotels across the region."

Louis, who is fluent in Arabic, joined Hilton in 1996 as an Assistant Sales Manager in Egypt. Since then he has greatly extended his experience to include Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Hilton's Abu Dhabi and Al Ain hotels, as well as Director of Business Development for Jeddah Hilton. Between 2004 and 2007, as Cluster Director of Business Development for Hilton Hotels in Dubai, he doubled their revenue year on year. As General Manager of Hilton Fujairah Resort, he initiated and oversaw the AED15 million refurbishment.

In his new role based out of the Dubai Internet City Area and regional office, he will spearhead the regional and hotels' sales teams in charge of 18 properties spread across the U.A.E, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius and Seychelles, as well as new openings in the Gulf. Louis will have sales responsibility for all Hilton Family brands in the region including the existing Hilton, Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Garden Inn hotels, as well as the Conrad and Doubletree by Hilton properties under development, and any further brand introductions.

"I am thrilled with my new role at Hilton, and look forward to using my insight into the brands and the Middle East market in shaping a sales strategy that will channel revenue to existing and developing properties around the region. The current state of the global economy is demanding. This allows us the opportunity to revisit and strengthen our existing plans, devise and implement an approach that will not only focus our sales efforts, but help us explore diverse tactics and build durable, beneficial relationships with our customers," said Louis.

Despite the challenging economic climate, Hilton Hotels is investing in its future, and is in the midst of strengthening the company's Middle East & Africa executive team with appointments across all functions.
