  • PRESS RELEASE

Toshiba Computer Systems Division, in association with Microsoft launches a competition geared towards small to medium businesses.

The Toshiba Office IT Makeover provides an opportunity for SMBs to be selected for a complete IT makeover and obtain the best technology solutions needed to maximise their business performance.

The SMB makeover is open to all small business owners with operations based in the United Arab Emirates with an employee headcount of up to 150. The makeover aims to help owners to assess and apply the right technology solutions that will help streamline their business operations.

"Small and medium sized businesses require the correct set-up of IT infrastructure to accord the right business solutions and to help them run their businesses efficiently. Toshiba is proud to partner with Microsoft in offering integrated technology that will benefit SMBs with the top hardware and software," says Santosh Varghese, Regional General Manager, Computer Systems Division, Toshiba Gulf.

Toshiba and Microsoft aim to educate SMBs on the importance of having sustainable technology solution which can help companies reduce total cost of ownership.

"Many SMBs don't have a dedicated IT department to provide inhouse support. SMBs, as a result, may put together ad hoc solutions which don't really help to solve the problem. The makeover project gives us an avenue to inform businesses how to achieve sustainable solutions. Toshiba and Microsoft will help guide SMBs towards properly integrated solutions to increase productivity and efficiency," adds Varghese.

The selected company will receive a tailored business solution incorporating the finest business laptops, printing solutions and projectors from Toshiba, all networked with Microsoft's market leading business software. The prize package brings tremendous value through increased productivity for the selected organisation.

To enter, small business owners need to go through the dedicated website and answer a few simple questions.

Qualified judges from Toshiba and Microsoft will evaluate the businesses from the UAE and KSA and select the winner of the makeover package.

A team of experts will visit the winner's office premises to assess current IT infrastructure and present a complete plan of makeover package. The SMB makeover runs until August 15, 2009.
