EPSON launches the Stylus CX5200

The Stylus CX5200 is EPSON's recently launched scanner, printer, copier is designed to meet the increasing needs of the home and home office segment (SOHO) within the Middle East.

This scanning, printing and copying device (SPC) offers high-speed four colour printing, a scanning resolution of up to 1200 x 2400 dpi and standalone copying even when the computer is switched off. EPSON's DURABrite inks ensure output is professional and smudge-proof, even if splashed with water, and photo prints will not fade for up to 70 years on plain paper.

The Stylus CX5200 is designed for higher productivity situations where speed and quality are important. With an output speed of up to 22 pages per minute, business reports will be produced quickly and thanks to EPSON's DURABrite ink, crisp, clear output is easily achieved on plain paper - there is no need to use coated or special media for that professional finish.

'The Stylus CX5200, is a high performance SPC device, that incorporates the latest in EPSON printer and scanner engine design. An EPSON combined solution does not mean a compromised solution, and Stylus CX5200 will fit into any home or home office environment where quality, reliability and professionalism count,' said Khalil El Dalu, General Manager, EPSON Middle East.

The built-in LCD panel in Stylus CX5200 offers a range of options via a simple menu driven user interface, for example, customers can select the number of prints and the printing quality mode. Selections for a variety of EPSON media's can be easily made via this panel, which can also be used to carry out operations such as head alignment, cartridge changes and check ink level monitoring.

The Stylus CX5200 incorporates the latest EPSON print technology, providing a resolution of 5760 optimised dpi (using Resolution Performance Management) and Variable Sized Droplet technology. Combined with EPSON's Resolution Performance Management these advancements ensure the best quality output without sacrificing speed.

For increased cost efficiency, the Stylus CX5200 incorporates EPSON's separate ink cartridge design. The Intellidge chip accurately monitors ink levels and partially used cartridges can be removed and re-inserted at a later date. This feature allows the customer to ensure they do not run out of ink during a printing job.

EPSON Smart Panel software is supplied with the Stylus CX5200, which makes scanning quick and easy, one touch buttons enable scan to web, email, file or application.
