The first joint initiative took place during last week, a lecture that introduced the 'Blue Ocean Strategy' which discussed effective methods institutions can use to transform their new initiatives into successful strategies that are more competitive and creative, with the aim of creating a new market value instead of pursuing a conventional competitive strategy.
The 'Blue Ocean Strategy' lecture was a promotional kick-off for a two-day training course starting August 10th. The course will address the significance and practical goals of the Blue Ocean Strategy in an expansive fashion, with the aim of having participants acquire the necessary skills to adopt strategies similar to this in their firms and institutions.
Dr. Yasira Ghousheh, pointed out:
"We at the King Abdullah Center work towards increasing the capabilities of our national institutions in both the public and private sectors through a number of programs and activities such as the King Abullah II Awards for Excellence, this collaboration is part of our interest in cooperating with national establishments pioneering in the service of the public and private sectors and an enhancement to the culture of innovation and excellence."
Eng. Mohammed Khawaja stated, "This collaboration highlights the importance of the cooperation of our organizations in presenting what is novel to serve both the public and private sectors. This collaboration will help in bridging the gap between the current performance of businesses and the status we seek to achieve in the future."
