Mr. Nair is originally from India and holds the Master degree in Business Administration from University of Missouri, USA and Bachelor of Commerce degree from Bombay University.
Being in hospitality industry for the last 13 years, he gained his extensive experience and expertise in the field of Finance through various assignments with Rotana Hotels, Riviera Hotel in Bahrain, and Al Jazira Beach Resort in Abu Dhabi.
He has a very successful experience with standard operating policies and procedures, staffing requirements implementing internal controls, pre-opening projections, Capital and Profit Budgeting and forecasting.
Prior to joining Al Murooj Rotana, Shashi held the post of Area Director of Finance in Al Bustan Rotana. He is currently over looking 14 Rotana Properties in Dubai and Northern Emirates and by the 2010 would be 16 properties.
In his new role, Shashi Nair will focus on controlling the costs and demonstrating success in achieving an appreciable increase in company's profit and growth while reducing the cost.
