Mr. "Shadi Ramzi" Majali,The General Manager of Saraya Aqaba, said:
"This initiative comes as part of Saraya Aqaba's belief in its responsibility towards enhancing and developing the hospitality and tourism industry in Jordan in order to place Jordan on the international tourism map. That will be obtained by providing a highly qualified staff; thus we consider supporting these students is part of our responsibility. In addition, this initiative is part of our continuous support to the Jordanian educational sector, considering its impact on the Jordanian community."
Majali further added: "We chose the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, Amman, for the fact that it is a Jordanian educational institute that is internationally distinguished in its field. It is managed and operated by Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, following the highly renowned Swiss method of teaching in this field".
Saraya Aqaba will be receiving applications for this program on a date no later than August 9th, 2009. Interested candidates are requested to fill in an online application that is available on the company's website, and following the mentioned instructions. The names of the four- winners will be announced in August 16th, 2009.
It is worth mentioning that Saraya Aqaba has participated in a number of initiatives that aim at enhancing the level of education in Aqaba, as well as provided specialized trainings to boost the hotels' quality of services in Aqaba.
