About Saraya Aqaba:
Saraya Aqaba is Saraya's first destination, located on the western tip of Aqaba in Jordan, on the northern shores, around a man-made lagoon. The project comprises approximately 634,000 sqm of master planned development combining shopping "Souk Saraya", dining, entertainment, hotels, freehold accommodation and cultural activities within the context of an authentically styled ancient city. The project will commence operations by Q 1 of 2011, adding approximately 1.5km of beachfront to the Gulf of Aqaba. The approximate total cost of the project is over $1bn.

Saraya Aqaba features five premium 5-star hotels and two boutique hotels. Jumeirah, the Dubai-based luxury hospitality group, will operate two hotels and one boutique hotel in addition to operating the "Wild Wadi" Water Park while it will manage Grand Villas and Villas in this new large scale project. Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc will operate the other two hotels and a boutique hotel, Additionally, Nikki Beach Hotels and Resorts, will be operating the fifth premium 5 star hotels under the brand name Nikki Beach Resort and Spa.

Saraya Aqaba also features residential units designed in a contemporary Mediterranean architectural style. The lavish fully furnished residential units include 12 Grand Villas, 51 Villas, 94 Grand Townhouses, 90 Terrace and Garden Townhouses, 376 Apartments, 82 lofts & khan apartments and 50 Beach Club Duplexes. The destination also features a unique retail mix of goods and services such as restaurants, shops and nightspots in Souk Saraya as well as "Al-Multaqa" conference center, "Diwan Al Saraya" offices, "Al-Rimal" beach club and a sports park. Saraya Aqaba aims to cater to the needs of Aqaba's local residents, as well as regional and international visitors and businessmen.

Saraya Aqaba's founding partners in this project are Saraya Jordan, the Social Security Corporation (SSC), the Arab Bank, the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), and a number of individual and corporate investors.
