Al Riyadh Daily acquires QuarkXPress with ArabicXT

The well-known daily has acquired more than 75 licenses of QuarkXPress with ArabicXT, the latter developed by Layout Ltd. of Beirut.

"Following extensive testing of several DTP solutions, we decided to purchase QuarkXPress and ArabicXT because of their stability, ease of use, and widespread success in the Arab world", says Al Riyadh Production Manager, Raif Mashnouk.

"Layout Middle East and its local dealer, Copatra Graphics, provided professional training and system integration, allowing a smooth transition from our old applications to the new desktop publishing system," he added.

Al Riyadh newspaper joins a growing number of QuarkXPress and ArabicXT publishers in the region, which have sought efficient solutions to meet demanding, time-sensitive production schedules.
