GEO TV & 'Channel i' join E-Vision family

As part of its permanent commitment to bringing all the channels that suit the tastes of its viewers, E-Vision has announced the addition of two new Urdu and Bangla speaking channels to its network.

E-Vision, the UAE's only digital cable TV provider, said GEO TV, the first Pakistani digital satellite channel to broadcast from Dubai, and the Bangla speaking 'Channel i' have officially joined its network that comprises over 150 channels. GEO TV and 'Channel i' will be available at no extra cost to all subscribers as part of the Basic Package on channels 65 and 49 respectively.

Humaid Rashid Sahoo, E-Vision's Chief Executive Officer, said the addition of GEO TV and 'Channel i' is a major milestone in the network's continuous efforts to offer a greater choice of channels that cater to the needs of all viewers in the UAE.

'Despite the fact that 150 channels spanning over 14 languages represent a great deal of choice, we are forging ahead in signing new partnerships with channel providers from around the world to ensure a constant boost to our offering for the benefit of our subscribers.'

The Bangla speaking community in the UAE can now enjoy one of their most favourite channels. With content tailored to suit all members of the family, 'Channel i' is the first digital satellite Bangaldeshi channel to offer a variety of programmes from music to sports and from movies to news broadcast directly from Dhaka around the clock.

GEO TV broadcasts in Urdu 24 hours a day to give viewers in the UAE a dose of updated news from Pakistan and around the world. Apart from its informative content, GEO TV offers entertainment programmes with unique forms of reality and talk shows, quality dramas, political satires and interactive quiz shows. It also has a network of over 500 reporters and correspondents. GEO TV has also been topping the official Gallup ratings chart for all satellite channels in Pakistan.
