126 Stations have been installed progressively in the different regions and several update operations have been implemented in addition to the expansion of 334 existing Radio Base Stations, since February 2009, in order to enhance the quality of transmission, improve the network coverage and increase its capacity to support the subscribers' traffic and growth.
In compliance with this strategy, the company has installed the new Stations as follows:
• 1 Radio Station in Qarantina Region
• 1 Radio Station in Akbe ( Zgharta Region)
• 1 Radio Station in Nabaa Region
• 1 Radio Station in Toul (South Region)
• 1 Radio Station in Dawha (Chouf Region)
• 1 Radio Station in Kfarzabad (Zahle Region)
• 1 Radio Station in Quanater Zbayde (Hazmieh Region)
• 1 Radio Station in Jbeil
• 1 Radio Station in Hjoula (Jbeil Region)
• 1 Radio Station in Tarchich (Metn Region)
• 1 Radio Station in Aaboudie (North Region).
It's worth mentioning that Alfa has been managed by 'Orascom Telecom Holding' (OTH) since February 2009. Orascom Telecom is the leading mobile operator in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. Orascom Telecom counts over 80 million subscribers.
