University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) will release the results of the Cambridge IGCSE and International A/AS Level June 2009 examination session on Monday 10 August.

William Bickerdike, CIE Regional Manager for Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan, said:
"Schools and students in the UAE work extremely hard to achieve good grades in their examinations. I am sure that there will be an excellent crop of results again this year, and I wish the students every success."

CIE has seen an impressive growth in entries for the June 2009 exam session. Worldwide entries for CIE qualifications in June 2009 rose by 15% on the same session last year. Entries for Cambridge International AS/A Levels grew by 14%, and entries for Cambridge IGCSE - the most popular international curriculum in the world - rose by nearly 20%.

The most popular subjects at Cambridge International A/AS Level in June 2009 show that students are favouring social sciences. The top five subjects worldwide were Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, and Business Studies.

The fastest growing subject is Applied ICT. Cambridge International A/AS Level qualifications are a gateway for students to gain places on degree courses at leading universities worldwide.
