FedEx holds health, safety and environment workshop for its employees

FedEx, the world's largest express transportation company, held a workshop for its employees for Health, Safety and Environment month in March, to educate them on these issues.

Among the speakers was Mrs. Habiba Al Marashi, Chairperson for Emirates Environmental Group, who highlighted the need to safeguard the environment for future generations. FedEx is well known for its initiatives in environmental preservation and recycling. The company won the first annual Dubai Cargo Village Environmental Awareness Award in June 2002 and also scooped first place in the Emirates Environmental Group's Paper Collection Campaign, collecting an impressive 2,434kg of paper for recycling, in June 2002.
