FedEx is well known for its initiatives in environmental preservation and recycling. The company won the first annual Dubai Cargo Village Environmental Awareness Award in June 2002 and also scooped first place in the Emirates Environmental Group's Paper Collection Campaign, collecting an impressive 2,434kg of paper for recycling, in June 2002.
