Ajman Sewerage Company enters partnership with Ajman Municipality

Ajman Sewerage Company, in partnership with Ajman Municipality, has launched a high profile awareness campaign in the Emirate of Ajman to promote the benefits of the new Dhs 515 Million sewerage development project and to encourage property owners to fulfill their legal obligation to register in order to benefit from the modern new system.

Construction of the sewage treatment plant has already commenced and design of the network system comprising pumping stations and underground pipework has reached a stage where installation will commence in the very near future.

In a partnership with Ajman Municipality the Ajman Sewerage Company have prominently displayed outdoor promotional posters in Arabic and English are now prominently displayed on every main road in Ajman.

These invite property owners to "Join in the drive for a cleaner, greener Ajman" by registering their properties now with Ajman Sewerage Company and calling 00 9716 7148888 to get further details about the benefits the project has to offer.

Ajman Sewage (Private) Limited Company General Manager, Mr. Bob Taylor, said: "This is the latest high profile stage of our ongoing communication campaign to reach the estimated 9,000 property owners in Ajman to ensure that not only do they comply with their legal obligation to register their properties but that by registering they also benefit from the new modern sewerage system.

"The bright and high impact poster campaign, being undertaken in partnership with Ajman Municipality, has covered every major road in the Emirate as part of our continuing efforts to ensure that all property owners and local residents are fully aware of the project and the huge benefits it will create for a cleaner and greener Ajman in the future."

Ajman Sewerage Company is also now in the process of distributing leaflet dispensers containing additional information about connection tariffs for the system to Government offices and other institutions throughout Ajman.

In recent weeks the company has also been distributing information about the project at mosques, at the Ajman Fantasia and has had an exhibition booth about the project in place at Ajman City Centre explaining to the public how the project will work and the major benefits it will bring to the area.

Under the regulations of the Ajman Sewer Law, enacted last year by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, The Ruler of Ajman, every property owner must legally register their property with the Ajman Sewerage (Private) Company Limited and later pay a compulsory connection fee.

Mr. Taylor added: "This is a project that will bring massive benefits and create a truly cleaner and greener Ajman for everyone who lives and works in the Emirate. It will also help to lay the foundations for greater prosperity and economic activity in the future."

The Ajman Sewerage (Private) Company Limited is a joint venture company owned by the Government of Ajman, Thames Water, Black and Veatch and Six Construct. Thames Water and Black and Veatch are two world leaders in the provision of wastewater services and infrastructure systems and Six Construct, part of Belgium's Besix, is a leading civil and infrastructure constructor.
