Alba welcomes children from Ministry of Interior's Summer Camp

The Ministry of Interior's Summer Camp for their employees' children commenced on July 19 and will be ending on August 10. It involves recreational activities and educational visits to large industrial organisations in Bahrain such as Alba

During their visit to Alba, the children were shown around the different facilities at the smelter and briefed on the aluminium production process. They were also given an explanation on Alba's commitment to the environment and taken to the Shaikha Sabeeka Oasis.

"It is always a pleasure and privilege to introduce young children to Alba's facilities because we are certain that such visits will inculcate an interest in science and engineering and, hopefully, inspire them to consider aluminium as a future career option. We see these visits as part of our corporate social responsibility and hence encourage young children from various schools in Bahrain to visit Alba and to see for themselves the work that we are doing here," remarked Alba's Public Relations Manager Dr Khalid Bomtaia who later presented the children with gifts and souvenirs.

The children were accompanied by Major Khalil Ibrahim Al Shenou, Lieutenant Abdul Aziz Mohammed and other officials from the Ministry of Interior. They remarked that it was a privilege to have visited one of the world's largest and most modern smelters and to see the positive role Alba is playing in the community.
