"From the beginning our philosophy has been to not only bring the W to Qatar, but to bring Qatar to the W. This Ramadan, we're going to demonstrate just how well we've managed to do that,"says Safak Guvenc, General Manager of the W Doha.
Spice Market by Jean-Georges will feature a customary Iftar buffet every evening after sunset. Guests can break their fast the traditional way, before digging into a choice of Middle Eastern fare or South East Asian cuisine for which Spice Market is so popular. The soulful yet casual setting is ideal for spending quality time with friends and family.
At the Wahm, arrangements are being made so guests can spend a long comfortable evening with their loved ones, or companies can invite their business associates to celebrate the occasion with them. After the ritual breaking of fast at Iftar, guests can settle into cabanas or poolside tables and enjoy the most aromatic shisha flavors in town as well as personal television sets and the varied a la carte menu. Large groups can even choose to opt for customized menus. The proceedings will end with the traditional Souhour meal just before sunrise.
A similar pattern will be observed at the Ramadan Tent at W Great Room, which will open for Souhour until sunrise offering traditional juices, on-table mezze and a lavish buffet with nine different food corners, in addition to live cooking, from sushi to Italian delicacies and from French to Arabic specialties.
The Tent, sponsored by Qatar's new and dynamic telecommunications company, Vodafone Qatar will feature live entertainment with a Lebanese band singing classical songs with a twist throughout the night, seven days a week where people can have a sumptuous Souhour, a special entertainment and amazing Shisha flavours.
"W has always been the hotel for the young & the young at heart, and our lively celebrations are going to cater to that same audience," says Guvenc. "We're going to wow! guests in each of the three outlets every night, and we've made sure that all three experiences are completely different from each other so that our guests always have something new to look forward to at the W during Ramadan."
