Dubai TV channels to get HD upgrade

Ahmad Abdullah Al Shaikh, Sheikh Mohammad's media aide and the Managing Director of Dubai Media Inc., has announced that Dubai's five TV channels will soon be upgraded to high-definition transmission, Gulf News has reported. The new system will enable viewers to watch programmes with a view up to 10 times clearer than the analogue system that was used before, he has said.
