The exhibition named 'Jawhar' (which means Jewel in English) will start on August 21 and run until September 20, 2009. Included in the range are about 100 one-off pieces each more magnificent than the other. Francois said,
"I consider each woman special having a style of her own, hence I never repeat a design. My objective was to create something festive yet light - keeping in mind the weather. I couldn't have given it any other name but Jawhar as each jalabia is like a jewel - something to be treasured and enjoyed. I believe in quality that lasts. Something that would make every woman say 'I must have that.'"
Jawhar is, no doubt, Francois' most fabulous collection to date. Oodles of extravagantly hued and embellished materials are superbly tailored to create fairytale tunics. Layers of finest chiffon, crepe and georgette come together in absolutely bewitching designs.
Hina Bakht, Vice President, MPJ - Marketing Pro-Junction, said, "Francois' technical brilliance and unique imagination is once again evident in this exciting new range. The gorgeous colour combinations in jewel bright diffusions of amethyst, garnet, fuchsia, green, purple, orange, midnight blue, black and opal bring a youthfulness to the dresses. Extremely feminine, these are outfits that you can wear for any occasion. Francois is a designer extraordinaire who never fails to delight. Coral Boutique Villas is the perfect venue for this fantastic exhibition".
There are many tempting styles to choose from. Whether you are looking for something elaborate or simple each design is striking in its own way. A scattering of crystals over printed chiffon is ideal for evening wear while black feather trimmings on neon green make for a dream dinner dress. A terracotta and pink fused jalabia with gold and silver brocade patchwork looks regal and would get you noticed in the grandest parties, while the simple flowing fuchsia gown inset with sequins is just right for iftar.
Exhibition timings: From 10 am to 11pm daily including Fridays.
