The TPI golf fitness certification programme is a three level education course designed to teach professionals within the physical, medical and golf sectors how to identify and overcome any physical restrictions that are limiting golf students' potential.

Dr. Greg Rose, co-founder of TPI and expert in golf fitness, together with Claude Harmon III, Director of Instruction at the Butch Harmon School of Golf will be conducting the course from 20-21 September at the school located in Dubai Sports City.

Level 1 of the TPI Golf Fitness Programme largely involves learning the major physical performance factors that limit most players from reaching their potential. Advanced levels are then specified under fitness professional, golf professional, medical professional, and golf biomechanists tracts.

"Five to ten years ago, and before Tiger [Woods] was around, strength was believed to be bad for golf,"

said Harmon, a TPI Level 3 Golf Fitness Certified and Level 2 Certified in Golf Biomechanics.

"The TPI programme has identified 12 common swing faults, which largely relate to physical causes. By completing the TPI golf fitness instructor programme, golf instructors, physical trainers and medical professionals alike can outline what your body can and can't do in regards to a golf swing, what your faults are, and your ability to do different things with your body," he added.

Over the past twelve years, Dr. Greg Rose has helped thousands of golfers of all skill levels, including PGA tour players such as Padrig Harrington, reach their peak performance through physical conditioning and nutritional support.

"Golf is evolving at a very fast pace. With TPI, we are looking at all ways to improve a golf swing by incorporating medical and fitness testing to enhance a golfer's performance. Our offerings will enable professionals to fully analyze a student's ability by developing physical and medical components in golf instruction," said Rose.

Each workshop features the latest in golf-specific health and fitness, from golf swing biomechanics and physical screening techniques, to exercise prescriptions and the most recent research and development in the field of golf swing analysis.

The TPI Golf Fitness Programme takes place in select locations worldwide. Some of the programmes taking place in the UK and US are now sold out, demonstrating the course's worldwide demand.

All workshops include a comprehensive training manual, lunch, and all the materials needed to perform a full physical screen. Classes are taught by the experts from the Titleist Performance Institute's Health and Fitness Advisory Board.

The Butch Harmon School of Golf in Dubai is located at The Els Club golf course in Dubai Sports City and is part of the Dubai Sports City Academies Campus.

Included within the Dubai Sports City Academies Campus is the Dubai Sports City Football Academy, the home of Manchester United Soccer Schools, Dubai; the Dubai Sports City Swimming Academy; a David Lloyd Tennis Academy; the International Cricket Council's own ICC Global Cricket Academy; the WorldHockey Academy, a first of its kind partnership with the International Hockey Federation; a Rugby Academy; a high performance gymnasium; and a world-renowned sports medicine and rehabilitation centre.
